c.1948 Ingraham, Bugs Bunny Animated Alarm Clock in Original Box
Outstanding, wind-up, metal and glass, Bugs Bunny Animated Alarm Clock manufactured by Ingraham. Complete with original box. Works great. I had it running for approximately 20 hours during which time it was accurate within a couple minutes. Requires daily winding as originally designed. EXC+ condition in excellent box. Features all metal (probably pressed steel) case with original convex glass lens held in place with brass finished metal frame. Dial face features Bugs in a reclining position. His left arm is die cut and is holding a carrot. While working this arm moves back and forth making it appear that he's eating the carrot. Dial also includes separate indication for alarm setting. The clock has all of its original brass finished key winds, nuts, alarm ball, and knurled stems (y'know the round twisty things). The generic box was printed in orange and black has an image of the Ingraham company on the front cover. An extensive set of directions was printed on one side. Advertising and company text were included on the remaining three panels. The bottom is gray cardboard and also original. Size: Approx. 4" x 4½" x 2". Sold: Nov. 2013
